Marina massages: Bringing business in
Authenticity is our mission when we undertake a new branding project and NYC based massage therapist Marina Baratashvili, just oozes with it. When building a brand from scratch we try to learn as much as we can about the purpose of the product or service, the audience and the mindset of the people that surrounds it.
For Marina, we’d fallen in love with her customers; They were not just clients, they were true “Marina entusiasts”. It showed in the way they talked about her and her professionalism and the warm and familiar tone when they entered the studio. There was this -harmonious- dynamic between them so we knew we had to focus on the experience.
THE LOGOMARK:
We pushed that feelgood energy forward visually, merging three diferent concepts; massage hands evoking inward movement, a heart representing love and the “M” stands for Marina.
We then supplemented with a purple colour palette. Universally known as the color of spirituality, at its core, the color purple is a lover. It advocates for peace, compassion, and sympathy. Paired with calm-inducing type and copious amounts of white space, the purple “M” sits like a crown over the “Marina ” logotype
THE WEBSITE:
The homepage really conveys the “Marina experience” with Mrs. Baratashvili greeting you with a warm “hello”.
White and light gray backgrounds comunicate a soft and clean atmosphere, while the purple accents serve to emphasize design elements.
BRAND AWARENESS = BUSINESS:
Although the therapy studio had been running for several years, its digital presence was almost non-existent. A phone number and a sporadic instagram account, were the only digital assets available.
To bring new business in, the studio needed to be where the eyes of potencial costumers are: their phones and other digital devices. We setup a Google business account asswell other platform profiles like Yelp! and Facebook.
After analizing the most common search keywords for the types of massage that marina provides, we then optimized those profiles and the website so they share the same info, keywords and brand identity. We also encouraged long-time customers to write about their experience with marina.
THE RESULTS:
New customers bookings where growing exponentially. The number of new reviews where piling up in Google, raising awareness for the brand along with website’s reputation and search rank.
